He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth O'Brien and Helena Rice O'Brien; his brother J. J. O'Brien; his nephew Seamus O'Brien; his nieces, Christina Palermo and Deanna; his sister-in-law Linda O'Brien; and his parents-in-law, Darrell and Joanne Fogus.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; his children, Michelle Ott (Trevor) and Michael O'Brien (Megan); his grandchildren, Jared, Ella Ott, Marin, Maranda and Mercer O'Brien; his siblings, Teresa Palermo (Ralph), Peter "PJ" O'Brien (Josephine), Sean O'Brien, Maria Jones (Brian), Clarita Garden (John), Christine Travers (Dan) and Veronica O'Brien; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Cadle, Lisa Jackson (Brad), Tina Owens (Chuck), Jill Jackson, Pete Fogus (Judy), Mike Fogus, Chris Fogus and John Fogus (Jill). He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
