He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Williams and Annie Williams. He is survived by: his wife Debra Williams of Hopewell; his sons, Eric Parham of Hopewell and Sylvester Williams Jr. of Hopewell; his stepson Jabez of Petersburg; his siblings, Margaret Vaughan, Janice Johnson of Waverly, Rosa Goodwyn (Mattilen Hughes), Marie Williams (Cherlie Jackson) and Herman Williams of Waverly; his brother-in-law Herbert Dennis of Disputanta; his nieces and nephews, Angela, Cheryl, Larry, Ronnie, Herbert, Robert and Eric; and his friends, James Taylor, Keith Brown, Rusty and Charlie Taylor. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
