He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertha Lee Jones Brown and Samuel L. Brown Sr.; and his sister Virginia Crocker. He is survived by: his friend William Lawrence; his daughter Brendolyn Williams (Alphonso) of Newport News, VA; his grandchildren, Tomika Price of Newport News, VA, Tiffany Williams of Newport News, VA, Pinky Brown (Ricky) of Wakefield, VA, Tim Price of Newport News, VA, Nathan Williams of Newport News, VA and Ryan Greene (Yasmin) of Hampton, VA; and his nieces, Ruby Allen of Wakefield, VA and Ernestine Brock of Surry, VA.. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
