He is survived by: his children, Anthony Hamlin (Robin) of Chesterfield, VA, Angela Hamlin of Waverly, VA, Yolanda Wyatt of Henrico, VA, Phillip Clary of Surry, VA and Shannon Johnson (Erica) of Dinwiddie, VA; his stepdaughter Tina Johnson of Newport News, VA; his goddaughter Demetrice Wilkins (Juanita Wyatt) of Waverly, VA; his siblings, James Brooks, Sr. of Waverly, VA, Lorraine Grimstead of Chesapeake, VA, Celestine Grant of Washington, DC, Juanita Revish of Petersburg, VA, Doretha Johnson of Ivor, VA, Sarah Barrow (Bill) of Waverly, VA and Leon Smith of Petersburg, VA; and his friends, Bill Barrow, Leroy Pierce, Robert "Billy Buck" Johnson, Tommy Jackson, William "Buck" Ricks and Perry. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
