Turner; his siblings, Herman (Mabel), John Alfia (Libry), Ora Blossom, Odell, Aretha, Annie, Laura and Eva (Charles); his daughter-in-law Katrina Butts; and his great grandchild A'Nylah Shaw.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Jackson Butts of Waverly, VA; his children, Jimmie Butts of Waverly, VA, Rev. Kevin Jones of Waverly, VA, Tracy Butts (Vicky) of Prince George, VA, Karl Jones (Sherri) of Prince George, VA, Jonathan Butts (Barbara) of Disputanta, VA and Melba Barney (Stanley) of Stafford, VA; his brother Calvin Butts (Dorothy) of Irvington, NJ; his siblings-in-law, Ida Butts of Waverly, VA, Herman Hawkins of Temple Hills, MD, Douglas Christian of Atlanta, GA and James Brooks, Sr. of Waverly, VA; his grandchildren, Tieara Evans (Carlos), Tracey Shaw, Erica Shaw, Keondra Smith, Jayhna Butts, JaShauna Butts, Kanisha Jones, Christine Jones, Tyrell Shaw, Tyron Shaw, Javon Butts, Reginald Barney, Nahshon Buck, Darrion Barney, Kevin Hill, Kadeem Jones, Karl Jones, Jr. and Kaejhon Jones (Toniqua); his friend Clarence "Smiley" Gray; and also, Deaconess Alva King, Deacon, Deaconess Leroy and Mae Pierce. He is also survived by grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (319 Railroad Ave, Waverly, VA 23890).
