It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaJuan Baines of Waverly, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband McCoy Baines; and her parents, Gurley Young and Cora Young. She is survived by: her children, McCoy "Monnie" Baines (Cynithia) of Wavery, Brian Baines Yorktown (Tanisha) and Kimberly Baines of Waverly, Virginia.; her grandchildren, McKayla, Brianna Baines of Waverly, Tavion, Tirey Baines of Waverly and Brenden Baines of Yorktown; her siblings, Faye Young of Hopewell, Gregory, Keith and Edward Young of Washington, DC; her nieces and nephews, Sherry Young, Sherita Young, Tiffany Burns, Crystal Young, Tyrell Young and Brady Young; her sister-in-law Lia Wilkins; her aunts, Sarah Claiborne and Donna Davis; her uncle George Young; and her friends, Evangelist Ella White, Christina Urquhart and Dorothy Harris.
