It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Magee Laine (Waverly, Virginia), who passed away on June 5, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Lee Magee and Eva Clark Magee of Waverly, Virginia.. She is survived by: her husband Edward F. Laine; her sisters, Doris Otto of Vero Beach, Florida. and Frances Byrum of Waverly, Virginia.; her children, Herman T. Burgess, Jr. of Petersburg, Virginia., Kathy Anne Burgess of Chester, Virginia., Richard M. Burgess (Kathleen) of Chesterfield, Virginia., Victoria S. Shuler (Gregory S. Shuler) of Canton, Patience S. Earley of Asheville and Nelson Laine (Amy) of Wakefield, Virginia.; and her son-in-law Robin G. Earley of Candler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Wakefield United Methodist Church, 205 W Church Street, Wakefield, VA 23888.
