She is survived by: her daughter Jan; her son-in-law Sean Freeman; her grandchildren, Bryson and Skylar of Mechanicsville, VA.; and her siblings-in-law, Agnes Peebles of Yale, VA, Alice Butts of Waverly, VA, Calvin Butts (Dorothy) of Irvington, NJ, Herman Hawkins of Temple Hills, MD and Douglas Christian of Atlanta, GA..
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph M. Johnson & Son Funeral Home - Petersburg Chapel (530 S Sycamore St, Petersburg, VA 23803). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (20248 Courthouse Rd, Yale, VA 23897). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Union Baptist (5962 Laurel Springs Rd, Spring Grove, VA 23881).
