He is survived by: his wife Deaconess Mamie Saunders Barnes; his children, Dannie Barnes of Franklin, Charles Barnes of Waverly, Virginia., JoAnn Mason (Rufus) of Bronx, Juanita Gay (Lorenzo) of Woodbridge, Catherine Vaughan (Marvin) of Petersburg, Theresa Barnes of Petersburg and Letitia Foster (Adrian) of Surry, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Marquis Barnes Sr. (Tammy), Shunta Barnes, De'Rell Gay (Kenya), Terrandy Gay (Shanta), LaToya Blizzard (Juan), LaMarvis Barnes, Candice Ricks, Brittany (Eric) of Washington and LaTiya Street; and his friend J. Lafayette Edmond Sr.. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
