He was predeceased by: his parents, Carter Smith and Mattie Smith; and his brother Walter. He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Smith; his children, Daniel Smith (Jeanette) and Beth Messere (John); his sister Mary Noirot (Maurice); and his grandchildren, Scott, Mac and Katelyn. He is also survived by step grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
