He was predeceased by: his siblings, Richard, Howard, Raymond, Walter, Kenneth, James Anderson and Angie Mallory (late Melton); and his nephew Richard Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred A. Coles; his stepsons, Dennis Coles (Yvette) and Darren Coles (Zeta) of Richmond; his sisters-in-law, Clarissa Anderson of Richmond, Shirley Anderson of Washington, D. C., Corine Anderson of Mineral, Sarah Anderson of Richmond, Shirley Johnson (late Leslie) of Mineral and Joyce Holt of Montpelier; and his foster sisters, Florence Trice of Montpelier, Mary Hollman (Larry) of Ashland and Venus Wingfield of Louisa, Virginia. He is also survived by two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
