She was predeceased by: her parents, Othello Kirkwood and Agnes Kirkwood; her husband Fanning M. Baumgardner; her son Douglas K. Baumgardner; her grandson John M. Baumgardner, Jr.; and her siblings, Sarah K. Tatum, Frances Kirkwood, Kay Prevary, Robert Kirkwood, Nancy Sager, Helen Mitchell and James Kirkwood.
She is survived by: her children, John Baumgardner and Ann Baumgardner; her sister Virginia K. Browning; her sister-in-law Nancy B. Werner; her daughter-in-law Margaret D. Baumgardner; her grandchildren, Caroline B. Walker, Alexander Baumgardner, Spencer Baumgardner (Molly), Julia B. Chung (Alan), David Baumgardner, Stuart Baumgardner and Garrett Baumgardner; her great grandchildren, Brooke Woodward, Mimi Walker, Jackson Baumgardner, Thomas Walker, Tannen Baumgardner, Ursula Baumgardner, Hank Chung and William Chung; and her great great grandchildren, Audrey Ann Baumgardner and Scarlett McCullough. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection- Homegrown National Park Program, RLEP.org.
