She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Avery Cannon and Josephine Lorrine Urbani Cannon; her husband James Kermit Salyers, Sr.; and her siblings, James Cannon, Lamuel Cannon, Wayne Cannon, Bobby Cannon and Ollie Thomas.
She is survived by: her adoptive daughter Nia Conlon; her children, James Kermit Salyers, Jr. (Reneé) and Eva Sheree Ward (Quan Battle); her stepmother Thelma Cannon; her grandchildren, Majdi Kayyali, Matthew Kayyali, Aisha Kayyali, Katie Miller, Brandon Bowers, Ciera Bowers, Deavon Pickle, Christian Pickle, Austin Estep, Cooper Estep and Baby Battle; and her siblings, Phyllis Jessee, Charlie Cannon, Linda Steffey, Brenda Caywood, David Cannon and Tim Cannon. She is also survived by 27 foster children.
In lieu of flowers, the funeral home will be accepting donations to help the family offset the cost of final arrangements.
