He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Peters and Ira Marsh Peters. He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Peters; his children, Vickye Hall (Don) of Piney Flats, Susan Hampton (Mike) of Bristol and Kimberly D. Miller (John); his grandchildren, Adam Hall, Chad Hall, Joseph Kennedy (Brittany), Katie Kennedy and John Miller (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Hunter Kennedy, Carson Miller, Cayden Duke and Beckett Hall; and his brothers, Kenneth Long and Phil Fleming.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
