She was predeceased by: her father Joseph D. Barrett. She is survived by: her children, Edward Dennis Ball of Athens, AL, Daniel Ball (Lisa) of Farmville, VA and Donna Poston (Terry) of Athens, AL; her sister Regina Cumbow (Jim) of Abingdon, VA; her grandchildren, Brandy Riley (Michael), Jeno Ball and Josie Ball; and her great grandchild Coletrane Riley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Opal's name.
