It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnet Carter Sluss (Washington, Virginia), born in Tiptop, Virginia, who passed away on March 28, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Wade Sluss and Audrey Sluss; his wife Mary Sluss; his children, Terry Chancellor (Jerry), Kathy Williams (Rhon), Michael Sluss (Sarah Cagle), Kevin Sluss (Kathryn Moore) and Jonathan Sluss (Marie); his grandchildren, Katie Williams, Kristen Sluss, Rebecca Alley, Audrey Chancellor-Marcias, Jennifer Williams, Abigail Williams, Elayne Monroy, Michael Chancellor and Benjamin Sluss; his great grandchildren, Kate Alley, Eli Alley and Catalina Monroy; and his siblings, Ruphas of Orville, Jack Sluss and Darlene Sluss Riney. He was also cherished by five children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Mountain Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Drive, Grundy, Va. 24614.
