She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ashley and Pearl Rollins Ashley; and her siblings, Joretta Smith, Beatrice Robbins and Tom Ashley.
She is survived by: her husband Nick Sturgill; her son Nickey Sturgill (Nicki Culbertson) of Damascus; her granddaughter Ashley Johnson (Aaron) of Blountville, Tenn.; and her great grandchild Jace. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
