He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Gentry; his parents, J. W. Gentry and Ida Gentry; and his siblings, Ethel Grindstaff, Ray Gentry and John Gentry.
He is survived by: his son Danny Gentry (Melissa) of Abingdon; his grandson Eric Tenney (Laura) of Abingdon; his great grandchild Jakob Tenney; and his siblings, Gladys Wyatt of Glade Spring, Ann Bunn of Bristol and James Gentry (Debbie) of Bristol, Virginia. He is also survived by Several Nieces and Nephews.
