She is survived by: her children, Vivian Jarrell (Rudy), Brenda Waugh (James Reynolds) and Michael Lynch; her sisters, Mamie "Naomi" Thompson (Earl), Janice M. Lewis and Patricia Williams-Clemons (Houston); and her sisters-in-law, Anna and Mattie Lewis of Virginia. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
