She was predeceased by: her parents, Dandridge Fisher Withers and Jessie Francis Withers; her husband William Lancelot Johnson; and her siblings, Reese Withers, Lavelle Self and Brenda Fowler.

She is survived by: her daughters, JoAnne Wheeler (James) of Warsaw and Betty Walters (Neal) of Fredericksburg; her brother Jerry Withers; her grandson Lance Wheeler; and her aunt Louise Withers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
