She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Albert and Evelyn Winstead Smith; her husband John W. King; her son John W. King, Jr.; and her siblings, Franklin R. Smith, Calvin Leroy Smith, Harvey Albert "Sonny" Smith, Lawrence W. Smith, Elizabeth Hinton and Dorothy Dean Schefflien.
She is survived by: her daughter E. Jane King Frush (Jay I. Frush); her foster children, Curtis Lee King and Alice King Morris; her brother Alfred P. Smith (Shirley D.); her nephew Charles "Frankie" Schefflien, Jr.; and her close friend Taylor Dameron. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
