She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brooks Shockley, Sr. and Grace Lois Omohundro Shockley; her brother Charles Brooks Shockley, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Shockley and Ennis Kube.
She is survived by: her siblings, Joan Wyatt Kube, Shirley Ann Bowman (Ron) and Thomas Edward Shockley (Pat); her nieces, Tammy Obier, Robin Ann Crain (Marty), Samantha Brooks Shockley, Patty Childs (Todd), Mary Alta Rogalski (Ben) and Susan Gilmore; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tori Obier Fisher (Keith), Tyler Obier, Britt Hundley, Heather Hundley, Cole Childs, Jennifer Collins, Rachel Dozier, Griffin Rogalski, Sallie Gilmore and Andrew Gilmore; her caregiver Tappahannock; and also, Madison Louise Fisher, Ryan Fox Fisher, Coy Joseph Poirciau, Orry William Pourciau, Brooks Elizabeth Dozier and Bennet Ellis Dozier.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to the Menokin Baptist Church General Fund in honor of Max.
