She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry S. Hathaway and Agnes B. Hathaway; her husband James "Jimmy" E. Hinson; her siblings, Virginia M. Green and Henry S. Hathaway, Jr.; and her son J. Richard Hinson.

She is survived by: her children, Reece Hinson, Janice Kilman, Jackie Hinson and Jennifer Curran (Jeff); her daughter-in-law Viola Hinson; her grandchildren, Michael, Marc Hinson, Jacquelyn, Travis, Sam, Daniel, Jennilyn Kilman, Christian Hinson, Rebecca and Nicholas Curran; her great grandchildren, Isaac, Aubrey, Natalie, Joshua, Kynlee, Benjamin Price, McKenzie, Avery Kilman, Ayden Hinson, Madelyn Wellford, Levi Hinson, Bryson, Khloe and Emersyn Kilman; her sister Elizabeth "Betsy" R. Dodson; her nieces and nephews, Laura, Kim Dodson, Susan Barnes, Christopher, Thomas Hathaway and Franklin "Sonny" Greene; her pet Taco; her friend Beulah Garner; and her caregiver Cynthia Blagmon.
