He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Packett and Nellie Packett; his son Stephen Mullin Packett; and his brothers, Joseph Bertram Packett, Jr and Irving David Packett, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Jane Mullin Packett of Warsaw; his children, Louis George Packett, Jr. of Baltimore, Michael Yeatman Packett (Rita) of Atlanta and Janie Packett Jones (Conrad) of Ashburn; his grandchildren, Sara Packett Pyles, Stephen Mullin Packett, Jr., William Conrad Jones, Jr., Patrick Packett Jones, Tyler James Packett and Jordan Lee Packett; and his great grandchildren, Carlin Elizabeth Hardy, Ella Jane Hardy and Mary Michael Hardy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Warsaw Baptist Cemetery Fund or the Building Maintenance Fund.
