He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambertus Verburg and Cornelia Verburg; and his siblings, Jenny Hoffman, Agnes "Auckie" Patton, Marie "Mimi" Blackburn, Burt Verburg and Henry Verburg.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet D. Verburg; his son John Davis Verburg (Jackie); his grandchildren, Davis Daniel Verburg and Alexa Catherine Verburg; and his sisters, Corie Barlow, Marjorie Moran, Helen Holdren and Elsie Janney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
