He is survived by: his daughter Traci Hurst-Morataya (Doug); his grandchildren, John Morataya and Reese Morataya; his stepdaughter Dawn Maxwell; his siblings, Virginia Rhodes, Ennis Hurst, Tommy Hurst and Diane Hurst; and his significant other Patricia Conley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
