He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Gilbert and Leroy C. Gilbert; and his sons, Bryan and Eric Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Jane Olin Gilbert; his children, Ann Graziano (Frank) of Warsaw, VA., Francine Jones (Tom) of Kilmarnock, VA. and Clark "Corky" Gilbert (Stephanie) of Winnebow, NC.; his daughter-in-law Kathy Gilbert; his grandchildren, Shannon Czajkowski of Charlotte, NC. and John Gilbert of Hamstead, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Mason and Madolyn Gilbert of Hamstead, NC..
