We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2023, at the age of 88, Richard P. MacWelch Sr. of Warrenton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. MacWelch and Pattie Thurston MacWelch. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Dobey MacWelch; his sons, Richard P. MacWelch, Jr. (Beverly) and Timothy R. MacWelch (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Richard Patrick MacWelch III (Karen), Kelly MacWelch Andrews (John), Katy MacWelch Landes (Michael), Megan MacWelch and Kaitlyn MacWelch; and his great grandchildren, Makayla MacWelch, Colby MacWelch, Noah Andrews, Graham Andrews and Paisley Grace Davis.
The family requests no flowers as "Mac" didn't like cut flowers. Donations may be made to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
