It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelson Clemmer Simmons of Warrenton, Virginia, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Simmons and Olga Burns Simmons; his daughter Susan Riffey; and his siblings, John Simmons and Judith Simmons.
He is survived by: his close friend Frances J. Heflin of Warrenton; his son Jeffrey Basye of New Market; and his sister-in-law Patsy Simmons of Texas City, Texas..
