She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Fishback and Jesse Fishback; her husband Charles Frederick Childress, Sr.; and her siblings, Ann Carrico, Pauline Fishback, William, Carter and Gordan Fishback.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy C. Bowen (Tom) of Burke, VA and Charles Frederick'Fred'Childress, Jr. (Debbie) of Warrenton, VA; her grandchildren, Michael Bowen (Nesi), Adam Bowen (Karyn), Danny Childress (Lindsey), Rebecca Nunes (Mike), Stephanie Poe (Stephen) and Calvin Childress (Dana); and her great grandchildren, Lily June, Lane, Luke, Avery, Evelyn, Julianna, David, Isla and Hunter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
