He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Harris and Frances Rowe Harris; his sister Jane Welles; and his sons, Duane P. Harris and James A. Harris, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Arleen Julio Harris; his children, Cynthia Harris and Vincent P. Harris; and his sister Anne Schumacher. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandson; a step granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
