He was predeceased by: his father Alan Nelson Jenkins; and his brother Alan Nelson Jenkins, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jane Tull Jenkins; his daughters, Elizabeth Blair Jenkins (John Colombo) and Eleanor Jenkins Karnig; his stepdaughters, Caroline Church Parrish (Isaac Christopher Parrish), Mary North Cooper (Rex Scotland Cooper) and Susan Church Runge (Christopher John Runge); his grandchildren, Samuel North Cooper, John Woodward Runge and Emily Davis Cooper; and his sisters, Lora Hamlen Jenkins and Marguerite Jenkins Clark (John Sheldon Clark).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wakefield School in The Plains, Va.
