With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles John O'Connell (Warrenton, Virginia), born in Newport News, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin O'Connell and Virginia O'Connell; his brothers, Thomas and Daniel O'Connell; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy O'Connell and Richard Griffith, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his brother Joe O'Connell (Donna); his sister-in-law Dee Griffith; his sister-in-law Dava O'Connell; and also Kaila Griffith. He is also survived by 8 Nieces and Nephews, 16 Great Nieces and Nephews; and 4 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moser Funeral Home, Inc. (233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Warrenton Cemetery (110 Leeds Ct W, Warrenton, VA 20186). A reception will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Moser House (221 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard Griffith Memorial Music Scholarship, and mailed to Truist Bank, 236 W. Lee Hwy., Warrenton, VA 20186.
