He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edwin Williams and Bertha Faye Griffin Williams; his grandson Charles Leroy Williams III; and his sisters, Thelma Grissom, Lois Pullins and Doris Moyers.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ellen Riley Williams of Warm Springs; his children, Deborah J. Harris (Ronald) of Appomattox and Charles Leroy Williams, Jr. (Tracey) of Bolar, Virginia; his grandchildren, Susan Arrington (Dan), Sharon Shelton (Alan), Andrew Williams and Nikolas Williams; his great grandchildren, Addison, Autumn, Ella and Ava; and his siblings, Edwin Williams (Carole) of Staunton, Virginia and Sue Saris (James) of Frederick, Maryland..
