She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Brown and Bertha Ellis Brown; her husband Burton H. Pittman; and her son Dave Lawrence Pittman. She is survived by: her sister Marie Barrett; her nieces, Debra Carr and Linda Pittman; and her close friend Russell Powell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Wakefield Baptist Church.
