He was predeceased by : his sister Cheryl Stephenson Patterson; and his parents, John Howard Stephenson Jr. and Anna Terriciano Stephenson. He is survived by : his wife Jane Darden Stephenson; his children, John IV of Radford, VA, Willis of Wakefield, VA and Iris S. Williams (J.) of Wake Forest, NC; his stepson Ryan Karp (Tina) of Medway, MA.; his siblings, Pam Stephenson (Mike), Joe Stephenson (Tammy), Lewis Stephenson (Jeanne), Mary Carol Wayner (David), Sandra Spain and Charles Stephenson (Diane); his grandsons, Corbin and Cole; and also, Mackenzie Karp, Chandler Campbell (Cody), Maxine Karp and Jackson Karp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, a host of good friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations be made to Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department.
