She was predeceased by: her parents, A. H. Lowe, Sr. and Virgie Bailey Lowe; her husband Joel Claude "Boots" Whitmore, Jr.; and her siblings, Alvin H. Lowe, Jr., Vernon V. Lowe, George Franklin Lowe, Sr. and Violet Lowe Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald C. Whitmore, Sr. (Jean) and Keith Whitmore (Donna); her grandchildren, Donald C. Whitmore, Jr. (Cheryle) and Terri Whitmore Pittman (Jeremy); and her great grandchildren, Thomas W. Jones, Jr., Trenton W. Jones, Mary Elliott and Shelby Elliott.
