She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Cole and Ruth Cole; her brothers, Charles Edwin Cole and David James Cole; and her grandson Miekko R. Faxon.
She is survived by: her husband James Wayne "Jimmy" Cook of Wakefield, VA; her sister Sharon Ruth "Sherry" Wendland (Larry) of Tullahoma, TN; her children, Robert Christopher Dangerfield (Rebecca), John Aaron Dangerfield, Sarah Dangerfield Newsome (David) and David Jennings Dangerfield; and her stepdaughters, Susan Renee Smith (David) and April Michelle Godfrey (Travis). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wakefield Baptist Church (104 W Church St, Wakefield, VA 23888). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wakefield Cemetery (205 W Church St, Wakefield, VA 23888). A reception was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wakefield Baptist Church (104 W Church St, Wakefield, VA 23888).
