It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daphne Hester Burnett (Wakefield, Virginia), who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Bishop Collier and Horace Haskins Collier of Surry County. She is survived by: her brothers, Roy T. Collier and Horace "Ray" Collier; the father of her children Hafford "Hal" D. Hester; her husband George M. Burnett; her children, Jacqueline A. Bryan (Tom) and Charles D. Hester (Donna); her brother Gary L. Collier (Linda); her grandchild Ryan Merritt (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Casey, McKenzie and Charlotte. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID19 there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be private for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
