Brittle, Jr.; his wife Phyllis Walker Brittle; his children, David Brittle (Shonda) and Robin Brittle Hoagland (Richard); his grandchildren, Maya Hoagland Velez (Eric) and Richard Hoagland, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Carson and Lauren Velez; and his sister Carolyn Brittle Boykin.
