She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Hill and Thomas Morton Raines, Sr.; and her brother Thomas M. Raines, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband H. Massey Joyner; her children, Keith Joyner (Kelly) and Karen Joyner Halman; her grandchildren, Lindsay Cutrell (Bryant), Sarah Houck (Garrett), Shelby Crocker (Daniel) and Garrett Billups; and her great grandchildren, Ariel Cutrell, Theodore Houck and Violet Houck. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory (11414 General Mahone Hwy, Wakefield, VA 23888). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home and Crematory, Wakefield Chapel (111414 General Mahone Hwy, Wakefield, VA 23888). A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Wakefield Cemetery (205 W Church St, Wakefield, VA 23888).
