He is survived by: his wife Ida Harris Nedab; his daughter Eneetra of Melfa, VA; his grandchildren, Lamonta, Deontra (Tra) of Hampton, VA and Zairia of Melfa, VA; his great grandchildren, Dy'Laijah, Javari, Kingston, Brooklyn and Madisyn; his godchildren, Robert Kinsey, Jr., Ashley Kinsey, Tyler Warner, Wilfred Gray, Jr. and Malcolm "Mal" White; his siblings, Jacqueline C. Nedab, Cathy K. Nedab, Dalbert P. Nedab (Yvonne), Floyd T. Nedab and Rodney J. Nedab (Robin); his great-aunt Thelma Nedab Greenleaf; his siblings-in-law, George Harris, Delois Young, Rosalie White and Carolyn Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Rev. Edd Olds (Sheilah), Dalbert, Jr., Cedric (LaToya), William, Cardell, Kaye, Nikki and Cherise; and his great-nephews, Alston (Tiffany), Aaron, Cahriq, Soni, Jason and Cardell.
He held numerous positions in his church such as: Deacon, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Superintendent of Sunday School, Trustee, Treasurer, and he earned the name "Deacon DJ" at his church because James provided the music using CDs to play since his church didn't have a choir or musician to render their music since the pandemic.
