He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dewey and Esther Davis; his in-laws, Lonnie and Mittie Murphy; and his siblings, Lloyd Davis, Marvin Davis, Millard Davis, Omar Davis, Fern Beckwith, Hildred Kimball, Carolyn Woodard and Barbara Thurlow.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Murphy; his siblings, Elaine McKenzie and Wade Davis; his daughters, Sherry Marie Kelly, Jody Davis Burdin and Karen Elaine Lindsey (Teddy); and his grandchildren, Alisha Emily Spruill (Mike), Ambir Lindsey Wilson, Kelli Clayton Rodgers (Brian), Emily Michelle Dalton (Marvin), Charles Lee Kelly (Sarah), Jesse Wayne Burdin (Chrissee) and Jackson Wayne Kelly (Lauren).
