He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hess; his children, Chris Hess, Philip Hess (Terra) and Sarah Giardini (James); his grandchildren, Luca, Emma and Molly; and his siblings, Rachael Ruhl, Daniel Hess, Mariam Kreider, Rhoda Knapp, Mary Angell and Caleb Hess.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Ascension.
