She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Powell Newsom and Elizabeth Newsom; her husband Talmadge "Tal" F. Broughton; her sons, Mark Talmadge Broughton (Sandy) and Bradley Powell Broughton (Christine); her grandchildren, Aaron (Julia), David (Leila), Paige (Luke), Peter (Nichole), Elizabeth (Ryne), Mary (Robbie), Julia (Tyler), Rachel (Jaison), Rebekah (Eliel), Samuel, Hannah (Maria) and Abigail (Jonathan); her sister Elizabeth Ann Humphries (Jim); her niece Susan Humphries; and also Craig Powers. She was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren.
