She was predeceased by: her parents, Maynard Thompson and Irene Thompson; and her son-in-law William Mark Simerson (Richard J. Murphy). She is survived by: her children, Valerie Simerson, Debra Murphy-Darr of Virginia Beach, Richard B. Murphy (Patricia) of Williamsburg, VA, Craig Murphy (Debbie) of Boynton Beach, FL and Mike Murphy (Peggy) of Marfa, TX; and her grandchildren, Lauren, Sean (Heidi), Dick (Olivia), Kyle Murphy (Adriana), Melissa Moore (Justin), Morgan (Patrick Wagner), Makenzi Darr, Jessica Murphy (Ben Bruker), Sydney and Lindsey Simerson. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
