She is survived by: her children, Barbara A. Whaley (Richard) of Virginia Beach and Kenneth Bryant Askew (Vera) of Raleigh; her sister Edith Wheeler of South Carolina; her grandsons, Todd Whaley (Lisa) of Rocky Mount and Bryant Askew of Charleston, SC.; and her close friends, Cheryl and Jane.
