It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille (Lu) Penner of Virginia Beach, Virginia, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Bensinger and Jerome Bensinger; and her sisters, Ilene Graham and Janet Coan (Stuart). She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Hasten of Virginia Beach, VA and Beth Gould (Dan) of Charlottesville, VA; and her grandsons, Kevin Boyd (Tessa) of Palmyra, PA, Timothy Boyd (Amber) of Charlottesville, VA, Scott Boyd of Richmond, VA, Mark Hasten of Virginia Beach, VA and Todd Hasten of Richmond, VA.. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
