She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Harris III and Margaret Elizabeth Harkrader Harris; and her siblings, William Henry "Buck" Harris IV and Katharine Harris. She is survived by: her husband Rear Admiral Alan Mark (Retired); her sons, Edward Alan Gemmill (Elizabeth) of Carrollton, VA and William Rollins Gemmill (Lauren) of Stallings, NC; her grandchildren, John Parker Gemmill, Avery Mae Gemmill and Evan Alan Gemmill; her siblings, John Lacy Harris (Ellen) of Roxboro, NC and Marguerite Harris Holt of Reidsville, NC; and her brother-in-law John Gemmill (Linda) of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Duke Cancer Center of NC or the National Cancer Institute.
