It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Scott McRae of Virginia Beach, Virginia, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. "Jim" McRae and Marsha Parker McRae; and his brother James Todd McRae. He is survived by: his wife Tina; his children, Jake and Sydney Bingham; his pet Morgan Freeman; his family Scott; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Chris Payne; his sister Mandi; his brother-in-law James Brock; his nieces and nephews, Quinn, Lane, Johnny and Vann; his sister-in-law Melanie Richmond (Mike); his nephews, Ross, Patrick McRae and Dylan Richmond; his stepmother Gretta Claunch (Joe); his aunt Elizabeth "Bets" Dudley; and his cousins, Armistead "Ted" Dudley and Paul McRae, Jr..

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Histiocyte Association (https://histio.org) or to the Amanda Owens Prayer Quilt Ministry at Haygood United Methodist Church.
